Matt Moore is expected to start at quarterback for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Moore practiced with the Panthers' first team Wednesday while starter Jake Delhomme, who has a broken finger on his throwing hand, watched from the sidelines.
"I think this is a great opportunity for Matt," receiver Muhsin Muhammad said Wednesday. "Obviously, we won't do a lot of the things that Jake does well, but we'll do the things that Matt does well."
Delhomme has struggled this season, throwing a career-high 18 interceptions in 11 games.
