DENVER -- Broncos running back Correll Buckhalter went to the locker room late in the third quarter after spraining his left ankle in Denver's 17-10 victory over the Cowboys on Sunday.
He walked out of the stadium on crutches after the game.
Buckhalter hurt the ankle on a sweep play. He had 37 yards on six carries in the game. He also had five catches for 55 yards.
The nine-year veteran is the Broncos' leading rusher this season.
