"They're OK," Williams said of his injured ribs. "They're painful, but they're good. ... I'm looking forward to playing this week."
Williams suffered cartilage damage to three ribs when he was hit by Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams while lunging for a high throw from Tony Romo last Sunday. Williams returned briefly but left the game after making a catch over the middle.
Williams, who watched from the bench as the Cowboys' comeback attempt ended with consecutive incompletions to reserve receiver Sam Hurd, said he had trouble breathing after suffering the injury. That problem has subsided, he said.
"Don't act like I didn't want to be out there," said Williams, who did not practice Wednesday. "I would go at Champ [Bailey]."
In other injury news, running back Marion Barber, who was held out of last week's game against Denver with a bruised quad, will practice with the team Wednesday, a source told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley. Backup running back Felix Jones (knee) did not practice.
