Marion Barber of Dallas Cowboys practices, says he feels fine

IRVING, Texas -- Marion Barber walked out to the practice field in full gear and flashed a thumb's up.

His tight left thigh was feeling fine on Wednesday -- or, at least, good enough to give it a test run.

When asked Wednesday about his condition by reporters, Barber, who rarely talks to the media, didn't seem to rule himself out.

"I'm good today, I'll be good tomorrow and then up until Monday," he said.

However, a team source told ESPN's Ed Werder that the Cowboys are skeptical that Barber will be healthy enough to play Monday night. Barber will continue to work with the training staff before a determination is made.

Barber strained his leg during a 35-yard run late in the fourth quarter of Dallas' loss to the New York Giants on Sunday night that might've been a 42-yard touchdown run had he not come up lame. He said it "felt like a bad cramp" and is hopeful of playing against Carolina on Monday night.

If not, the Cowboys have two capable backups in Felix Jones and Tashard Choice.
